In 2013 Scene conducted a scoping and modelling study for the Cloughmills Community Action Team. The study investigated the potential for community ownership of a 2MW wind turbine within a planned 18MW wind farm development in County Antrim. Scenario analysis provided the Cloughmills community with potential financial forecasts and a community involvement models. The ideas proposed in the study have been used to further the community energy discourse in Northern Ireland, though on this occasion it was not possible to create a joint venture because of the maturity of the commercial project.
