Scene is working with Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough in Wales to support the council's commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas by 2030. As part of the ZUoS platform development, Scene is taking a systems based approach, to develop a net zero multi-vector heat, storage and electricity micro-grid solution. Focusing on Council office space, Scene has developed a digital twin of the site's energy networks using the ZUoS Simulation Platform, to understand how energy flows would behave, and how they can be optimised and phased in net zero decarbonisation route-maps. Building on this feasibility study, the project intends to use the ZUoS platform to integrate with a variety of systems for the purposes of monitoring and control, including batteries, BEMS, PV, heat pumps, EV charging, and smart sockets.
