Lanarkshire Climate Action Hub

In 2024, Scene developed a best practice guide to inform the newly established Lanarkshire Climate Action Hub on how it can take actions to help improve the energy efficiency of homes in the area. Scene's reporting provided a strategic route map for the Hub, designed for the specific needs of communities across Lanarkshire and drawing together the experience and skills of local organisations. Stakeholder engagement was a core aspect of the project. Scene identified and consulted with the public bodies, housing associations, energy experts and intermediaries, training organisations, third sector organisations and community groups already active in this area with the purpose of developing a holistic plan that has the support of local groups and builds on existing expertise and action. After identifying current activity, the numerous local constraints, and a shortlist of potential opportunities, Scene provided proposals for five core activities that the Hub was well-suited to pursue. Scene's work helped enable the Lanarkshire Climate Action Hub, as a new organisation, to build connections across Lanarkshire and establish a targeted plan of action to make progress for the benefit of local residents and organisations.
